infection. Developed by the Infection Prevention Team at Betsi Cadwaladr
University Health Board.
Game of Stools explores Clostridium difficile in a
fun, and engaging way. The game aims to raise discussion between healthcare
staff about infection prevention, and how to prevent the spread of C. diff.
Playing Game of Stools will increase understanding of infection and
transmission helping to prevent outbreaks and also ensure patients are managed
safely when infection does occur.

• Transmission of C. diff
• Laboratory diagnosis
• Management and treatment
• Isolation precautions
• Environmental cleaning
Teams take turns to answer C. diff fact questions,
trying not to end up in isolation with life threatening C. difficile.
Ended up in isolation? You’ll only be released when your test results become
clear!Game of Stools is an entertaining and engaging way of
exploring infection prevention, helping staff to increase their knowledge of
how to effectively manage patients with C. diff.
