The Food, Mood and Health Game is a fun, hands-on board game created to help children and young people explore tricky issues around nutrition, food and health. This is vital to help young people develop sensible, healthy attitudes and behaviours. Two teams progressing around the board answering questions and completing picture activities based on topics including food and nutrition, body image, media influence and the link between food and mood. Teams are encouraged to discuss their answers, promoting communication, teamwork and understanding of fair play. It presents a refreshing and alternative way of learning – away from textbooks and computer screens! The Food, Mood and Health Game is an exciting resource for health education in the classroom, and it also supports the Health & Wellbeing lessons and the PSHE curriculum.
