STI Wars Card Game - English

Sexual health education often doesn’t focus on the issues that young people really face in day to day life – such as pornography, LGBT sex and the increased risks associated with alcohol and drugs. STI Wars addresses the risks that young people can face in everyday life. It challenges players to avoid STIs by eliminating Risks Cards and fighting back with Prevention Cards If you make risky decisions in the game you’ll catch an STI, and if you stay safe you'll earn rewards!

Games help create a relaxed atmosphere, where people are more open to honest discussions about sexual activity and sexual health. There’s no pressure, no judgement, and no “wrong answer”. It also removes the tension and embarrassment that can occur when adults try to initiate these discussions with young people.

STI Wars supports Sex and Relationships Education (SRE) and is designed to provide a memorable learning experience which will help ensure that young people understand the importance of staying safe during any sexual activity they engage in.
