Sexism and sexual harassment in the workplace are serious problems. But individuals and organisations often cannot recognise the problem and sexism goes unchallenged. This creates an increasingly hostile working environment.

The Antisexism Game is a unique game-based app that helps employees and employers understand the levels of perceived sexism and/ or sexual harassment in their workplace.

  • The Antisexism Game combines science and serious games to create a highly engaging diagnostic tool that helps participants recognise sexism in the workplace. It was developed by an academic with 20 years’ expertise researching and teaching the psychology of prejudice.

    The Antisexism Game explores sexism and sexual harassment in ways that are meaningful in real-world situations. The app helps employees engage in a process of self-assessment. This helps them to decide whether they have witnessed, or experienced, sexism or sexual harassment in the workplace.

    How does the Antisexism work?

    Employers offer employees anonymous access to the app. The app tells individuals if they have witnessed, or experienced, sexism and/ or sexual harassment.

    Aggregated anonymous responses are available to employers through a dashboard enabling them to assess whether there are wider issues that need to be addressed. The app can then be used repeatedly to track the impact of any remedial interventions. Are the levels of perceived sexism or sexual harassment decreasing?

    All responses are 100% anonymous. Individual players cannot be identified. We pool the responses from all players in your organisation. This will help your organisation understand if sexism is an issue. The app is intended for individual employees. It works through a web browser on any device and takes a few minutes to complete. There are 2 activities in the app:

    • Bubble Burst- A fast paced game that helps players recognise sexism and sexual harassment.
    • Test Yourself- 3 short questionnaires with a total of 21 questions with yes/no answers. The answers enable the app to indicate if a player has witnessed, or experienced, sexism and/or sexual harassment and how severe it was.

     

    What is in the package?

    We offer customised versions of the app that are unique to each organisation. This includes:

    • A unique URL to access the app.
    • Your logo added to the app.
    • Introductory text and internal links to helplines and further information.
    • Optional filters to segment users by location/department.
    • Secure online dashboard to track aggregated responses.
    • Templates for promotional materials such as posters and email footers.

     

    How much does it cost?

    You must buy an annual licence package before offering the game to your employees. Each package includes a maximum number of individual users. These users have unlimited access to the app for 12 months.

    You have unlimited access for 12 months to the dashboard of anonymous aggregated user responses.

    There is a fixed one-time customisation fee for each licence package of £150. If you renew your licence or wish to upgrade the number of users, this charge will not be applied unless you wish to change the customised information.

    • Up to 100 users - £200/year
